European sustainable energy accelerator InnoEnergy is offering €100,000, as well as business support, to start-up companies that win its latest competition.
The competition is open to sustainable energy start-ups from anywhere in the world and seeks to reward the most innovative ideas.
“Demand for sustainable energy solutions is rapidly increasing. As a trusted partner and smart investor, EIT InnoEnergy plays a pivotal role in accelerating sustainable energy innovations and wants to help make your company a global success,” said the Dutch outfit in its call for applicants.
Both finalists and winners will receive a place in EIT InnoEnergy’s Highway or Boostway programmes “to gain business support” from InnoEnergy and will also enter the organisation’s “trusted ecosystem”, it said.
The deadline for applications is 19 December.
The competition debuted in 2018 with a call for innovative solutions in the electrical storage space.
That year, 220 start-ups applied, 15 of which made it through to a “pitching event” in Amsterdam. Of those, two “grand winners” received a €100,000 cash prize each.
