Norwegian utility Statkraft is in talks to buy parts of renewables developer Element Power.
A spokesman for the former confirmed it is “in negotiations” on acquisitions for “certain” assets owned by the London-headquartered company. He declined to comment further.

Element was put up for sale several months ago and has interests in multiple markets in European and North and South America.
The Hudson Clean Energy-backed company has an onshore wind businesses in Ireland and Scotland with projects at all stages of development.
Element also has interests in solar, offshore wind, interconnection and asset management in the UK and Ireland.
