Windward Offshore has secured senior loan financing of up to €182m for four offshore wind service vessels.
Construction of the Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) is underway at Vard, with the first one already completed.
Windward Athens (pictured), the first of the four CSOVs, was launched at the Vard Tulcea shipyard in Romania last week.
The financing agreement with Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and Export Finance Norway (Eksfin) includes a facility amount of up to €182m, and the loan will be drawn in tranches upon the delivery of each vessel.
Windward Offshore managing director Bastian Hagebeuker said: “We are grateful for this new partnership with top lenders Crédit Agricole and Eksfin, securing this very attractive financing for our fleet.
“It underlines the parties’ dedication to support the growth of the offshore wind industry and marks the start for a longstanding collaboration in the future.”
The vessels are central to Windward Offshore’s mission to deliver service solutions for the offshore wind industry.
Scheduled for delivery in 2025 and 2026, they are designed to enhance the efficiency and safety of offshore wind farm commissioning and operations.
