Turbine manufacturer Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology expects net profit for the first half of 2016 to rise as much as 50% due to improved wind turbine sales.
The Chinese manufacturer reported a net profit of 370.5m yuan (US$57.2m) for the first quarter, a 48.9% increase year-on-year. Revenue increased 56.1%.
At the end of the quarter, the company had 7.74GW of outstanding orders for wind turbines and another 4.35GW awarded but not yet signed.
