Energinet is launching a new initiative to make it more manageable to connect major renewable energy projects to the electricity transmission network.
The Third Party Network Connection Portal aims to ensure more transparent and digital management of projects.
The first part of the process of connecting to the electricity transmission network has now been digitalised.
In order to gain experience before a full roll-out, the portal is initially introducing a screening phase, where developers, in cooperation with Energinet, find out where and when projects can be connected.
The portal helps to automate Energinet’s interaction with the outside world and make it transparent and simple to follow the process for external parties.
The portal is designed so that it can be continuously further developed and adapted to new needs that may arise.
Specifically, the portal will help developers see status of grid connections, access details and communicate directly with Energinet regarding their ongoing cases.
