Funds managed by Axium Infrastructure and Alterra Power’s 62MW Jimmie Creek run-of-river hydro project has started commercial operations.
The project is selling all of its electricity under a 40-year energy purchase agreement to BC Hydro.
Alterra (51%) and Axium (49%) co-own the project, which is operated by Alterra in cooperation with Klahoose First Nation, Tla’amin Nation and shíshálh Nation.
Alterra said the project had been delivered on time and under budget.
