Innogy is offering an up to €100,000 reward for information on the perpetrators of an attack on one of its senior executives two years ago.
Chief financial officer Bernhard Gunther (pictured) suffered “extremely severe injuries” after he was set upon by two men in a park in Haan, near Dusseldorf, on 4 March 2018 and burned with acid.
The German developer said the attack is suspected to have been contracted out by third parties.
Innogy wants details that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators, the identification of “middle-men” and the conviction of those that ordered the attack.
Any person who can supply relevant information is asked to contact the police in Düsseldorf on +49 211 870-0, any other police station or Simmons & Simmons solicitor Sascha Kuhn on +49 151 52 76 40 24.
“Bernhard Günther suffered extremely severe injuries,” said Innogy.
“This vicious attack is suspected to have been contracted by third parties. In order to finally solve the cowardly attack on its Executive Board member, Innogy has offered a reward of up to €100,000 for information that leads to a resolution of the acid attack.”
