David Hardy has joined the planning and consents team at law firm Squire Patton Boggs.
Hardy, who has a strong reputation in the renewable energy sector, including onshore wind, solar and biomass, is a dual qualified barrister and solicitor.
He was the former head of planning at Eversheds in Leeds and will work with Squire Patton Boggs’s national head Richard Glover, who is also based in Leeds.
Hardy specialises in contentious planning, environmental and compulsory purchase-related work and has been ranked as a Band 1 planning solicitor by Chambers UK.
He has experience advising on planning matters related to infrastructure, highways, mining and minerals, waste and water, regeneration, residential and commercial development schemes.
Glover said: “David has been involved in a large number of landmark planning cases and is at the forefront of developments within the renewable energy sector.
