Four more of the Contracts for Difference awarded from DECC’s 2015 allocation have passed their milestone delivery requirements, according to the Low Carbon Contracts Company.
The projects are the 45MW Brenig onshore wind farm in North Wales, BH Energy Gap’s 26MW BHEG Walsall and Spencer Group’s 25MW Energy Works Hull advanced conversion waste plants, and Cambridgeshire Council’s 9.9MW Triangle Farm solar park.
Eight of the 27 CfDs awarded last year have now achieved the delivery deadline, with four projects already having reached the milestone in February,
The milestone requirement has to be reached within one year of entering into the CfD with LCCC, which has been set up to act as counterparty for the contracts.
DECC awarded the 27 CfDs in March last year in the first allocation round. The 27 CfDs are in addition to 14 investment contracts awarded the previous year.
