Technical advisor OST Energy has opened a new office in Paris and hired Jean-Pierre Callens to help steer its wind operations in France.
Callens has 15 years’ experience in the wind energy sector and has previously led engineering teams conducting due diligence work throughout the country, OST said. He will report to French country head Fabrice Aymat, who will also be assisted by three consultants in Paris.
OST said the regional expansion comes as it beefs up its technical due diligence and investment advisor offering to the French wind sector, having already established itself more firmly in the country’s solar sector.
“Whilst new wind energy construction has slowed in parts of Europe, there is still a large domestic demand for technical due diligence and advisory services as the fund community looks for secure and stable secondary assets,” Aymat said.
“Onshore wind construction in France is likely to continue at pace until the mid-2020s,” he added.
