BayWa’s renewables division has appointed Christine McGregor as managing director of its projects business in the UK and Ireland.
McGregor joined BayWa r.e. in 2016 and brings a wealth of experience in the renewables sector.
She started her journey at BayWa r.e. UK as legal counsel and project manager before becoming head of commercial, where she was leading both the legal and valuation teams for the UK and Ireland Projects business.
McGregor will work alongside John Milligan, who has been managing director for BayWa r.e. UK since 2020.
She will replace Gordon MacDougall, who is moving into a new position at BayWa r.e. as regional head of projects in the Americas.
Steve Packwood, regional director of wind projects EMEA at BayWa r.e. said: “Christine’s proven track record in the industry and her strong commercial background will be vital for our growth ambitions in the UK.
“We are looking forward to Christine’s support in delivering our 2.5GW pipeline and further establishing our position as a significant player in the energy transition in the UK and Ireland.”
