CoralPoint has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Eric Briar (pictured, left) as chair of the board and Sebastian Chivers (pictured, right) as strategic advisor and board member.
The consultancy said both appointments will support its long-term ambition to grow across industry segments and international markets.
Briar’s career spans more than four decades, including senior roles at Sealion Shipping, SeaRoc, Manor Renewables, and most recently OEG Energy Group, where he led OEG Renewables’ growth strategy through multiple acquisitions.
Chivers brings over 20 years of experience building renewable energy and sustainability consulting firms, having co-led renewables at ERM and previously founded The Renewables Consulting Group.
CoralPoint managing partner Emilie Reeve said: “Their collective experience and track record in building outstanding businesses in the professional services industry will greatly strengthen our leadership team and help us to accelerate our ambitions for growth.”
Briar said he looked forward to supporting the team “at these very exciting times for the business”, while Chivers highlighted CoralPoint’s role in providing “the right blend of strategic and technical expertise” for the energy transition.
Both took up their roles in August and September respectively, and are based at CoralPoint’s Basingstoke headquarters.
