Benjamin Ahrens has joined Deutsche WindGuard Consulting to head up the company alongside managing director Axel Albers.
Ahrens (left) brings experience in the areas of project management, power curve measurements and prototype testing from his role within Enercon’s research and development department when he joined in 2019.
He then was appointed as deputy manager in mid-2021 and as the head of the Enercon’s measurement equipment workshop, he also initiated its extensive reorganisation from January 2023.
“With Benjamin Ahrens, we were able to encourage a highly motivated and excellently qualified expert from within our own team to accept responsibility as a Managing Director,” said Albers (right), who co-founded Deutsche WindGuard,
“As an accredited testing and calibration laboratory, Deutsche WindGuard Consulting has always been an industry leader in shaping key developments, innovations and standards,” said Ahrens.
He added: “One of our major goals for the coming years is to further enhance our services and align them even closer to our customers’ requirements, while at the same time equipping ourselves for the constantly changing demands of the market.”
In 2025, Deutsche WindGuard will also commission new LiDAR calibration sites and step up its cooperation with various partners in the Asian-Australian market.
