Danish renewables developer European Energy has appointed Carsten Jensen to the role of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) director.
He will oversee the development of European Energy’s EPC business, which is targeting an annual renewables construction pipeline of 1GW.
Jensen was previously chief executive of Dansk Gas Distribution.
Jensen said: “It is a privilege to be part of the green transition of the energy sector.
“I am looking forward to using the knowledge and experience I have gained through my 30 years in the energy sector and to establish an organisation that can construct 1GW in different markets every year.
“European Energy has always been good at constructing plants quickly and efficiently. We will use that capability in future, as we strive to construct 3-4 times as much capacity annually.”
