Turbine manufacturer EWT has named Renger Idema as the company’s new chief executive.
Idema took up the position on 1 November, replacing Mark Jones, who stepped down as managing director and CEO earlier this year.
Together with chief technology offer Mark Jonkhof, Idema will form the executive board.
Idema has been with EWT since 2008 and was appointed CFO and member of the executive board in 2012.
He started his career at food retail company Ahold and has held various senior roles in finance in differing sectors.
EWT supervisory board chairman Rijkman Groenink said: “Idema has already been instrumental in structuring the company’s ambitions. His considerable experience and leadership will serve the company well and we believe Idema is the right person to lead the company to a bright future.”
Idema said: “I’m very pleased for the opportunity to lead this company where I have worked for the past 10 years.”
