GDG appoints new managing director

Consultancy Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) has appointed Jonathan Bull as its new Managing Director, effective 15 January, 2024.

Jonathan has 27 years of experience in renewable energy and related sectors, enhancing the GDG team with his expertise as a chartered structural engineer.

Jonathan’s career spans extensive international experience in energy, renewables, and ports and over 15 years in management roles across environmental and technical consultancies, engineering design, and digital businesses.

His prior tenure includes 19 years at Royal HaskoningDHV and several years at Atkins. This breadth of experience positions him exceptionally well to lead GDG in its next growth phase said the consultancy.

Paul Doherty, founder of GDG and Executive Vice President for Engineering at GDG’s parent company Venterra Group, commented, “In Jonathan, we have secured a very capable successor who will be instrumental in our strategic growth.

“Jonathan’s experience and sector knowledge are vital for the development of GDG and the wider Venterra group of companies. I look forward to working with him more closely on the delivery of his vision for GDG.”
