Ib Vogt appoints new CEO

Renewable energy developer Ib Vogt has appointed Andreas Schell as its new chief executive.

Schell (pictured) replaces outgoing CEO Anton Milner, who has been with the company since 2010. Milner will continue supporting the business in his shareholder role.

Schell previously served as chief executive of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG and Rolls-Royce Power Systems. Prior to that, he held several senior executive roles at UTC Aerospace Systems and DaimlerChrysler AG, where he led global teams in engineering, strategy, and systems innovation.

Ib Vogt said the leadership transition marks a new chapter for the business as it continues to scale its global renewable energy platform and deepen its commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

Outgoing chief executive Milner said: “Leading Ib Vogt has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together over the last 15 years.

“However, next year I will be turning 65 and after such a long tenure in the position, I do think new leadership, new thoughts, new ideas, and new energy will be very good for the company.

“I am extremely pleased that Andreas has agreed to take on the role and will be leading the company into the next phase of its development. He brings a wealth of strategic and operational expertise and experience which will be invaluable as Ib Vogt continues to grow and develop.”

Commenting on his appointment, new chief executive Schell said: “I am honoured to join Ib Vogt at such a pivotal time. The company has established itself as a global leader in renewable energy. Together with the excellent management team we will work hard to capitalise on its strong pipeline.

“As our industry continues to evolve through consolidation and technological advancement, I am confident that Ib Vogt is uniquely positioned to lead the transition toward sustainable and affordable energy.

“I thank the shareholders for their trust and look forward to building on the strong foundation that Anton has laid.”
