Emmanuel Rollin, previously director of Iberdrola Renewables’ offshore wind activity, has been appointed chief executive of Iberdrola France.
He is now in charge of deploying in the country the development plan of Iberdrola presented during the Group’s Capital Market Day on November 9th.
Then Iberdrola pledged to spend €17bn by 2025 to build 52GW of renewables capacity.
The Spanish developer said it would proceed on a “best risk/reward” strategy on what it called a “high-quality pipeline”.
Almost half, or 46%, of the spending would be in offshore wind in the US, UK, France and Germany, it said.
Rollin said: “I am very proud to take over the management of Iberdrola France.
“By bringing together all our activities under a single entity, we are giving ourselves the means to provide our customers with solutions to achieve their decarbonisation objectives and to help France in its quest for energy sovereignty and in the fight against climate change.”
