Lithuania’s Ignitis Group has approved a new supervisory board during the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the renewables developer.
It will comprise five independent members with international experience and two representatives of the group’s majority shareholder, the Lithuanian finance ministry.
For the first time in the history of the group, the majority of the supervisory board; four out of seven members, are women.
Four new members of the supervisory board are Alfonso Faubel (pictured), who was onshore CEO at Siemens Gamesa from 2019 to 2020, Tim Brooks, plus Bent Christensen and Judith Buss who worked in the previous term of office.
All have extensive experience in the energy sector, and especially in the area of renewable energy.
The other independent member, Lorraine Wrafter, is an experienced organisational development and human resources director.
Aurra Vickackiene and Ingrida Muckute are the experts from the Ministry of Finance who were selected to represent the majority shareholder.
Each independent supervisory board member will be responsible for a different field of group’s activities.
Faubel will be responsible for renewable energy, Wrafter, organisational development, Brooks, sustainable development and risk management, Christensen, strategic management and international development, and Buss, financial management.
The supervisory board will elect the Chair from among its members at the next meeting.
