Philippe Kavafyan has taken over as chief executive of Aker Offshore Wind, based in the company’s offices in Oslo, Norway.
Aker Offshore Wind said: “We look forward to leveraging Philippe’s extensive experience and in-depth expertise from the industry as our fast-growing organisation drives the development of floating offshore wind projects around the globe. The future is floating.”

The company announced in May this year that Kavafyan would replace Astrid Skarheim Onsum, who had decided to pursue other interests outside Aker Offshore Wind.
Kavafyan has over 15 years of experience in the wind industry.
He was most recently chief executive of MHI Vestas.
