German transmission system operator Amprion GmbH has appointed Dr Hendrik Neumann as chief technical officer.
He will take up the post on 1 January 2021 replacing Dr Klaus Kleinekorte, who is stepping down on 31 December 2020.
The Neumann, 43, studied electrical engineering in Dortmund and has gained more than ten years’ experience in various technical areas at Amprion.
Amprion GmbH CEO Dr. Hans-Jürgen Brick,said: “Hendrik Neumann brings a wide range of knowledge with him and thus contributes to ensuring that we will continue to meet our responsibility with innovative solutions in the future.
“Neumann combines great expertise in the management of complex technical projects with a view of the entire energy system. This represents great added value for the company.”
Kleinekorte, who has been CTO of the transmission system operator since 2003, will remain with the company to support the transition.
