International engineering consultancy Niras has appointed Raoul Kubitschek as its new managing director in Taiwan to lead the company’s offshore wind services on the Asian island.
Kubitschek has previously worked for 13 years in Taiwan, among others for the German Chamber Abroad, WPD, and as a management consultant for offshore wind.
He leads a team of 13 based in Taipei.
Kubitschek said: “I am very excited to support Niras’ further growth in Taiwan and the region, working with an experienced team to support our clients to deliver state-of-the art infrastructure projects.”
Niras is also enhancing its presence in Japan with the appointment of Seiko Toki as a senior consultant to further expand the company’s services for the growing Japanese offshore wind market.
Toki is an experienced environmental consultant having worked over the last decades on Japanese, Australian as well as international projects, Niras said.
She said: “I am truly delighted to be the first member of Niras in Japan and work with our global and highly skilled team towards helping to transition the Japanese as well as APAC energy mix to be more sustainable by bringing Niras global experience to newly emerging Offshore Wind markets.”
