Two European-based senior investment executives have joined NTR team as part of the company’s growth plans to further exploit European clean energy opportunities.
Nick Forster (pictured) joins as head of structured finance.
Based in Barcelona, Forster was previously a senior director at Bayerische Landesbank.
With 20 years’ experience as a project financier Forster has experience in financing wind, solar and energy from waste projects, as well as sustainable infrastructure, including transportation.
Arnaud Ibanez joins NTR as senior investment manager from French developer Voltalia and has held several senior investment management roles in renewable power generation over the course of his career, spanning onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, hydro and battery storage across multiple European markets, as well as Brazil, Mexico and Africa.
Anthony Doherty, chief investment officer at NTR, said: “With $1tn of capital needed to fulfil the ambitious European energy transition plans under Europe’s Fit for 55 plans, we are delighted to welcome Nick and Arnaud to the team, who will add extensive expertise to investing in and financing diverse clean energy technologies across multiple European markets.
“NTR has reached the €1 billion benchmark in capital deployed in European clean energy projects and we intend to accelerate that growth.”
Also joining the investment team as investment analyst is Claire McAteer, who most recently worked in the debt and capital advisory team of Deloitte in Ireland.
