OnPath Energy has appointed Andrew Robertson (pictured) as general counsel, strengthening the senior leadership of the UK-based renewable energy developer.
Robertson, who brings more than 20 years of legal experience, will lead OnPath’s legal team and oversee corporate, operational and project-related activities as the company advances its growth strategy.
A Sunderland native, Robertson studied law at Durham University and began his career with Dickinson Dees before moving to Hargreaves Services, where he supported major clean energy and infrastructure developments. He later worked with Essar on its UK energy transition and most recently served as legal director at the Disclosure & Barring Service.
“The role of general counsel can make a significant difference to the operational and commercial success of a business, and this is particularly so in the case of an agile, ambitious company like OnPath Energy,” said Robertson. “OnPath Energy has a clear growth strategy in place with a strong team working to deliver on it, which makes it an exciting time to be joining such a progressive business.”
OnPath CEO Richard Dunkley said: “Andrew brings a substantial range of relevant skills, knowledge and experience to his new role, all of which combine to make him a very strong addition to our senior team.”
OnPath Energy operates 12 onshore wind farms across Scotland and England, with three more under construction, and is backed by Brookfield Asset Management.
