The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult has appointed Adrienne Airlie to its board.
Airlie (pictured) is former chief executive of Scottish accountancy firm Martin Aitken & Co.
ORE Catapult chairman Colin Hood said: “Adrienne brings to our board over 35 years’ experience in financial services, including responsibility for managing a portfolio of audit, accountancy and business advisory clients across a range of industries, as well as advising charities and not-for-profit organisations on finance, governance and regulation.
“Her extensive experience will further strengthen the Catapult’s finance, risk management and governance practices.”
Airlie said: “This is an exciting and buoyant industry, and I’m looking forward to working with the team at ORE Catapult to promote and support the future financial sustainability of the UK renewables sector.
“The offshore renewables industry will increasingly provide a greater share of the UK’s generation mix and an affordable and secure source of energy.
“It is therefore vital that bodies such as ORE Catapult are financially resilient and well-positioned to continue to provide world-leading and best-in-class advice and facilities.”
