Ørsted has expanded its Group Executive Team with the appointment of Amanda Dasch as chief development officer and Godson Njoku as chief generation officer, effective 1 May 2025.
The move brings the full offshore wind value chain – development, construction and generation – into Ørsted’s top management structure, the company said.
Dasch, currently CEO of Region Americas at Ørsted, will head up Ørsted Commercial, covering commercial development across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, as well as Trading & Revenue, Group Strategy & Innovation, and Stakeholder Relations.
She will relocate to Denmark and remain interim CEO of Region Americas until a successor is named.
Njoku, who joins from Shell, will lead Ørsted Generation and oversee the performance of the company’s European energy-generating fleet. He has held several senior roles during a 20-year career with Shell, most recently as executive vice president for global production excellence.
Ørsted group president and CEO Rasmus Errboe (pictured) said: “With Amanda Dasch and Godson Njoku, we’re welcoming two strong profiles who will add valuable competences to our Group Executive Team, bringing decades of senior leadership experience from the energy industry.
“The Group Executive Team reflects our sharpened focus on our core business, on project execution, and on improving our competitiveness.”
As part of the restructure, Ørsted will discontinue the deputy CEO function.
