RenewableNI has appointed Mark Richardson as its new director.
Richardson is currently head of offshore wind at Scottish Renewables and has also led its onshore wind and consenting work.
He said: “I’m delighted to be joining RenewableNI at such a pivotal time for Northern Ireland’s energy transition. I look forward to working with members, stakeholders, and policymakers to ensure renewables play their full role in delivering a secure, affordable, and sustainable energy future.”
RenewableNI is the voice of Northern Ireland’s renewable electricity industry and advocates for zero-carbon power by 2035.
Wind Energy Ireland chief executive Noel Cunniffe said Richardson’s appointment comes at a time when the Northern Irish renewables sector “is on the verge of taking off again”.
RenewableUK policy and engagement director Ana Musat said he has “a great track record of collaborating with members and influencing decision makers” and was well placed to support the organisation’s growth.
RenewableNI was formed in collaboration with RenewableUK and Wind Energy Ireland, and its members span much of the wind, solar and storage supply chain.
