RES has appointed of Henrik Brandt (pictured) as its new chief financial officer.
Brandt joins RES from Telco InfraCo (TDC NET), where he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Previously, he spent over 15 years with Vestas in various senior global roles, most recently senior vice president and chief financial officer for Southern Europe, MENA and LatAm.
With extensive experience in business transformation within the renewable energy sector, Henrik will play a critical role in supporting RES’ growth plans, the developer said.
Eduardo Medina, RES chief executive, said: “As RES grows, we continue to attract a wealth of talent and I’m delighted Henrik is joining at such an exciting time for RES.
“With his strong industry background and global financial experience, he’ll play a key role in supporting RES’ across our development, construction, services and digital solution offerings to customers.”
Brandt added: “RES is a key enabler of the energy transition and I’m honoured to be joining the world’s largest independent renewable energy company.
“I look forward to contributing my experience and expertise in strengthening RES’ position in the market and supporting our customers.”
The news follows RES’ recent acquisition of Ingeteam’s Service division, which means RES has circa 41GW of assets under management across 23 countries.
With a strong development pipeline, RES plans to bring 22GW of new capacity online in the next five years, in addition to the 24GW it has delivered to date.
