Wind farm planning expert David Bell has resigned as Scotland director of development advisers JLL after 18 years at the company to establish his own renewables consultancy.
From 1 June David Bell Planning Limited’s key client will be Airvolution Energy, which is working on a 600MW Scottish pipeline in partnership with Statkraft.
Bell (pictured) will act as independent planning advisor to Airvolution’s Glasgow office, providing support to its project pipeline.
He will also continue to assist existing clients with ongoing public inquiry, appeal and feasibility work.
“With planning reforms on the horizon and a growing cumulative development picture in Scotland, it is essential to have robust planning advice and I very much look forward to playing that role with Airvolution and Statkraft,” he said.
