X-Elio CEO Lluis Noguera is to become Brookfield Renewable’s Global Head of Development, in addition to his current position.
In this new role, Noguera will provide executive guidance to all of Brookfield’s renewable development companies and lead strategic value creation initiatives that benefit the whole portfolio.
Noguera will also retain full executive control at X-Elio.
Brookfield has 160GW of combined operating and development pipeline capacity across wind, solar, hydro and battery storage in five continents.
The firm manages the world’s largest fund dedicated to the net zero transition – Brookfield Global Transition Fund I (BGTF I) – which successfully closed on $15bn in 2022.
BGTF I is now fully committed and a successor fund is fundraising in the market.
