UK cable manufacturer XLCC has appointed Trevor Nash as Chief Commercial Officer and Patrick Beringer as General Counsel.
XLCC is gearing up for further expansion in 2024 as global demand for HVDC cables increases, with energy projects racing to meet net zero targets.
Nash (pictured) joined XLCC following a career in senior roles across several international markets in finance and developing businesses, including a period as acting COO of the Emirati state-owned renewable energy company, Masdar.
For the last two decades, Nash has been active in the development of clean energy projects, most recently in his role as CEO of AP Solar Holdings.
Nash said: “Given my work in renewable energy, XLCC is such an exciting company to be involved with, especially at this pivotal stage in the global energy transition.
“The world needs HVDC cables for grid enhancement if we are to achieve the full potential of clean energy.
“Now is a critical moment for the expansion of our supply chains and I am excited to be at the forefront of this journey.”
Beringer has joined XLCC following 20 years at Nestle and two years working as the Legal Director of crisis-support organisation Medair.
Beringer said: “By helping XLCC to follow the necessary legal process and procedures as it continues its journey, I believe we can make a significant impact on delivering HVDC cables, a critical component in making the green energy transition a reality.”
