German manufacturer Senvion has named ex-GE/Alstom man Yves Rannou as chief executive effective March 2019.
The new man will take over from Manav Sharma, who held the role on an interim basis and will return to his role as chief financial officer.
Rannou has more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, including onshore and offshore wind as well as hydro.
Senvion chair Steven Holliday said the new hire “is a proven executive whose skills and expertise ideally complement the existing management team”.
He added: “We are confident that he is the right leader to execute Senvion’s growth strategy and position the business for future success.”
Rannou said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be joining Senvion at a truly exciting time for the wind industry. I look forward to work together with Senvion’s more than 4000 talented employees to provide clean solutions for our planet.”
