Repsol has agreed to sell a stake in a 618MW portfolio of renewable energy assets in Spain to Pontegadea, a private investment groups.
Pontegadea will acquire the 49% stake for €363m, with the entire portfolio valued at €740m.
The portfolio is made up of 12 wind farms located in Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel (Aragon), and Valladolid (Castile and Leon), with a total installed capacity of 398MW, as well as two solar plants, located in Albacete (Castile-La Mancha) and Cadiz (Andalusia), totalling 220MW.
In addition, the portfolio includes projects with “hybridisation potential”, which would add an additional 279.2MW.
Pontegadea has previously partnered with Repsol, taking minority stakes (49%), in two other renewable assets.
These are the Delta wind farms (Zaragoza, Aragon), in November 2021, for €245m, and the Kappa photovoltaic complex (Manzanares, Castile-La Mancha) in July 2022, for €27m.
