Nico Young has set up recruiter RS Wind having bought the manpower supply division of TRG Wind.
Young, who was formerly head of recruitment at TRG, said he saw an opportunity to separate the parts of the business, meaning both sides could thrive in their own sectors.
He said: “As TRG were working directly with manufactures and so were my clients on the recruitment side, it was obvious that the best thing to do was to continue the manpower provision my clients require, under RS Wind, with no ties to TRG.
“My clients can rest assured they will continue to get the personnel they need without any conflicts of interest in what is already an extremely competitive industry.”
He added that the RS Wind team has experience supplying workforces to wind farm projects on and offshore, including construction, O&M and Supervision needs.
