Dutch fabricator Sif adjusted earnings increased by almost 24% last year to over €39m, compared with just under €32m in 2020.
The company’s contribution – revenue minus the cost of raw materials, subcontracted work, other external charges and logistic and other project-related expense – increased 12.4% to €114.2m from €101.6m.
Production last year stood at 171 kilo tonnes, up from 164 kilo tonnes in 2020.
Contracted orders for 2022 stand at 180kt, with 214kt contracted for 2023 and beyond and a further 36kt under exclusive negotiation.
Sif chief executive Fred van Beers said: “Amidst the raging Covid-19 pandemic, the loyalty and drive of our business partners and employees enabled us to deliver on our commitments to clients and to achieve solid financial results.
“In the same time, we booked further additions to our backlog and made good progress on the blueprint for our strategic expansion plan.
“Especially during these turbulent times, our company culture of teamwork, ownership and results orientation is a key success factor in pursuing our purpose to accelerate the growth of offshore wind power generation as the driver of the required energy transition.”
