Luxembourg-based Susi Partners has applied to the European Investment Bank for funding towards a €400m renewable energy fund to invest in small and medium-sized projects in Europe.
Susi has asked the EIB for approximately €66m towards the fund, which will focus on solar and onshore wind.
The fund – Susi Renewable Energy Fund II – offers investment opportunities for institutional investors in Europe.
The application is currently under appraisal.
The fund will have to ensure it conforms with EIB’s environmental and social standards.
In December, the fund bought from BayWa the 18.3MW Obernwohlde wind farm near Lubeck in Germany.
