TotalEnergies reported its gross installed renewable power generation capacity grew by 1200MW at the end of the third quarter 2021 to 9500MW.
The growth was due mainly to the company’s acquisition by AGEL (TotalEnergies 20%) during the third quarter of the operating assets of SB Energy India’s 5GW portfolio.
Total gross capacity increased by 1GW over the quarter to 42.7GW, mainly due to the addition of a 1GW solar plant project in Iraq.
TotalEnergies’ net electricity generation stood at 4.7 terawatt-hours in the third quarter of 2021, up 17% year-on-year, mainly due to “strong growth in renewable electricity generation” as well as the acquisition of natural gas capacity.
TotalEnergies’ renewables and electricity business’s adjusted EBITDA was €291m in the third quarter of 2021, a 4.6-fold increase over one year, driven by growing electricity production mainly from renewables the company said as well as the number of gas and electricity customers.
