Austrian energy company Verbund has acquired a 70% shareholding in four wind farms and one photovoltaic plant, totalling 171MW, in Spain.
The wind farms, with a total capacity of 151MW and the solar plant, with a 20MW capacity, are being developed by Capital Energy.
The projects are all under construction and will be commissioned gradually between the second quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.
In addition, three hybrid PV projects in the south of Spain totalling 80MW are under development.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or further details of the transaction.
The shares are being sold by Capital Energy Power Vortice, a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital Energy.
