Swedish tidal outfit Minesto has appointed former chairman Martin Edlund as interim chief executive following the resignation of Anders Jansson.
Jansson, who has been at Minesto for 10 years with nine years as chief executive, said the Deep Green tidal kite developer would be better led by someone with greater industrial experience.
“After a fantastic journey the company is now entering a new phase industrializing the Deep Green,” said Jansson.
“After a successful IPO in 2015 and a fully funded business plan, I feel that someone with a more extensive industrial background would be of better benefit to the company,” he added.
Jansson will remain as a resource for the company during his notice period, the company said in a statement.
Following Martin Edlund’s temporary insertion as interim chief executive, the board of Minesto has appointed Bengt Adolfsson as chairman.
Adolfsson said: “We would like to thank Anders Jansson for his time as chief executive of Minesto. Anders has in a meritorious way paved the way for the current focus on technology development. We fully respect the choice that Anders has made and wish him all the luck in the future.”
