Nova Innovation, Perpetual V2G Systems and Upside Energy have won £40,000 each as regional winners in the Shell Springboard awards.
Tidal energy developer Nova and energy storage companies Perpetual V2G Systems and Upside Energy will now go forward into the Shell Springboard 2017 final in London on 6 April.
The overall national winner will receive a further £110,000.
Shell Springboard provides funding and other support to help innovative, low-carbon businesses scale up.
Nova Innovation chief executive Simon Forrest said: “The Shell Springboard award will enable us to reach and accelerate growth in new international markets.”
Perpetual V2G Systems CEO and founder Andy Ling said: “To be recognised by such an established energy brand as Shell Springboard reinforces our disruptive innovation and provides a massive credibility boost to the team.”
Upside Energy founder and CEO Graham Oakes said: “Shell Springboard is great recognition for the team’s hard work and inspiration over the last two years.”
