Fred Olsen Windcarrier said that when crossing the equator there is a long-standing tradition that a line-crossing ceremony is held onboard to commemorate a sailor’s first time crossing it.
The new LEC 65500 leg encircling crane will be supplied by Huisman.
With the upgraded crane and additional improvements to deck space and stability, Bold Tern will be capable of installing foundations up to 1500 tonnes and handling all known next generation turbines, the company said.
