UK renewables trade groups have called on the clean power sector to support industry events that have been postponed until later in the year because of the coronavirus.
A joint statement said: “We realise that this is a time of immense change for everyone in the industry.
“As your member associations, we are working together to support each other and deliver our event programmes which have been postponed to the autumn.
“Please prioritise events run by your member associations which are designed by the industry for the industry.”
The statement said that this will allow the groups to “reinvest directly in the future success of the energy sector, including our work with government to ensure the right policies are in place for the industry to continue to grow”.
They added: “Until we can meet you in person at our events, please do contact your member association for support and advice in relation to the coronavirus pandemic.”
The signatories to the statement are Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, Aura, DeepWind, EEEGR, Energy Industries Council, Energi Coast, Grimsby Renewables Partnership, NOF, RenewableUK, Scottish Renewables, Subsea UK and Team Humber Marine Alliance.
