The chief executive of Norwegian energy company Equinor Eldar Saetre has checked out the Esvagt Njord service operation vessel while visiting the 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm off the east coast of England.
Saetre took a close look at operations at the wind farm, utilising the vessel’s gangway to walk to a turbine.
He also met with the crew of the Esvagt Njord, which is supporting operations at Dudgeon, and Siemens Gamesa technicians.
The wind farm is located 32 km off the coast of north Norfolk and has been operational since 2017.
It features 67 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines.
Esvagt offers a fleet of SOVs for the offshore wind sector, providing accommodation for technicians, spare time facilities, offices and conference rooms, storage for small turbine parts and workshops.
The SOV offers flexible personnel and equipment transfer capabilities by either walk-to-work gangway systems or safe transfer boats.
