Engie has partnered with Eocycle-XANT to offer a small wind turbine as part of a portfolio of decentralised green energy systems for customers in Belgium.
The 90kW EOX M-26 wind turbine is ideal for SMEs, farms, companies with cooling systems and hospitals, for generating their own clean energy, said Engie.
The 90kW EOX M-26 wind turbine produces an average of 260 megawatt-hours of clean electricity a year.
The horizontal axis wind turbine has a tip height of 51 metres and requires an environmental permit for its installation.
Engie said it will manage customer requests and, depending on their needs, forward them to Eocycle-XANT, while the latter will be responsible for the permit, turnkey installation and maintenance of the turbines.
Engie and Eocycle-XANT aim to install 10 wind turbines in the first phase of their partnership by 2022.
