Italian developer Falck Renewables has selected four projects to receive support in its innovation programme.
Earlier this year Falck Renewables launched InnovatorLab, its own internal innovation programme that aims to promote innovative ideas in relation to energy in collaboration with investor WhatAVenture.
The innovation awards ceremony was held in Milan on 19 July and the four projects will move forward into the next phase of implementation.
Two projects support the company’s trading and dispatching activities, another is focused on smart energy management and flexibility and the fourth is related to the solar sector.
The teams behind the projects will all go on a trip to the Web Summit 2022 in Lisbon to benefit from networking and new learning opportunities.
“The InnovatorLab brings space and consideration for ideas, it creates opportunities and is a real incentive to boost innovation in a collaborative environment, full of energy and interesting sparks from colleagues worldwide”, said Gilles Vache, a participant from France.
Falck Renewables CEO Tony Volpe said: “Our success as a company is the result of the talent, knowledge, collaboration, and dedication of our staff.
“We have always believed in our colleagues’ ability to make a difference and to enable the energy transition.
“The InnovatorLab is a clear demonstration of this conviction: who better than our employees to bring innovative ideas to improve our business and contribute to tackling global challenges.”
