RUK reveals Global Offshore Wind Awards shortlist

RenewableUK has announced the shortlist for the 2025 Global Offshore Wind Awards, with 85 nominees competing across 14 categories ahead of the ceremony at the Royal Lancaster in London on 14 October.

The annual event will bring together leaders from government, business and media to celebrate achievements in innovation, collaboration and sustainability across the global offshore wind sector.

Energy minister Michael Shanks will join comedian and musician Alex Horne and The Horne Section to host the event, alongside senior representatives from industry and government.

The awards, now in their fourth year, feature new categories including Make it Happen Champion and the Finance Award, reflecting the sector’s growing focus on delivery, investment and people.

RenewableUK’s executive director for commercial Liz Conboy said the awards provide “a celebratory meeting point for the offshore wind industry to come together and reflect on its achievements amidst challenging economic headwinds for our sector”.

She added that the calibre of nominees was “a testament to the resilience and commitment to our clean power mission”.
