The full shortlist can be viewed on Scottish Renewables’ website and they include Peel Ports, Ace Aquatec and Ace Winches.

Peel Ports, nominated in the Sustainable Supplier category for its commitment to delivering sustainable growth by minimising its environmental impact and reducing carbon emissions while ensuring quality employment, training and support for the communities it operates in.

Ace Aquatec, based in Dundee, is shortlisted in the Technology and Innovation category for its collaboration with Ocean Health to build upon a series of successful offshore construction campaigns that used innovative acoustic devices to protect marine life from physiological harm.

Aberdeenshire-based Ace Winches is up for the Green Business Growth Award for providing complex, high-end engineering solutions for a variety of industries, notably the renewable energy sector.

Emma Harrick (pictured), Head of Energy Transition and Supply Chain at Scottish Renewables, said: “We were thrilled to receive such a huge number of applications for this year’s awards and I was really impressed by the quality of applications.

“Our judges had a hard task to decide on this year’s finalists but this shortlist represents the innovation, skills and engineering know-how required in our just transition to a cleaner, greener future.

“Delivering the energy transition projects we need to reduce our carbon emissions, re-skill and re-shape our workforce and reach our climate targets is a huge task, but one that offers enormous economic and environmental benefits.

“Looking at the shortlist, it is clear this year’s event is going to be another fantastic celebration of Scotland’s diverse supplier network across the energy transition, and I look forward to celebrating their achievements in August.”
