WPD has celebrated a milestone in France, installing 500MW of wind capacity.
The developer held an event on the site of the Saint-Laurs and Beugnon-Thireuil wind farm, in Deux-Sevres, to mark the occasion which was attended by local officials.

The project, which began last August, marks the milestone of 500MW of wind projects in France for the developer and is WPD’s thirty-third wind project in the country.
The commissioning of the park is scheduled for 2023.
Once the construction of this park is completed, WPD will have installed more than 510MW in France since 2002.
Three other projects are underway, which will total 42MW.
WPD also has 11 other onshore wind projects in France (135MW), which will be built in 2021 and 2022.
