ABO Energy has secured tariffs for three solar parks totalling about 50MW in the latest Federal Network Agency tender.
The company said it has now been successful in all three solar tender rounds of 2025, having previously won contracts for five projects with around 57MW.
Tariffs were awarded to the Schlangenbad, Ober-Olm and Schieder-Schwalenberg sites, with construction scheduled to start in autumn 2026.
All plants will be equipped with battery systems the following year, according to ABO Energy.
The awarded projects form part of a wider eight-site hybrid portfolio combining 100MWp of solar PV with around 80MW of battery storage.
ABO Energy said discussions with potential investors are under way and construction on three projects has already started or is about to begin.
Amaya Hilpert, head of solar and BESS project development Germany, said: “All projects will be implemented with battery storage – an important component for feeding renewable electricity into the power grids at different times, and optimising the economic viability of the projects.”
She added that the portfolio also includes grey power storage facilities with 45MW of capacity.
The company said the tender was significantly oversubscribed, with 5247MW of bids for a volume of 2328MW and an average award value of €0.05/kWh.
