Indian outfit Sterling and Wilson is to provide turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services and operations and maintenance for a 1177MW solar plant in Abu Dhabi.
The project, which will be located across 7.8 square km in Sweihan, is being developed by Marubeni, JinkoSolar and the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority.
Construction of the project is underway, with commercial operations expected in 2019.
Sterling and Wilson renewable energy president Bikesh Ogra said: “We are fully geared and very excited to be a part of this important milestone in the global solar market.”
